Thanks for the memory.....

We are looking for anyone who may have memories of Clark Gable that they would like to share in the book, documentary or both. Maybe you can help directly, or perhaps you are related to someone who knew, worked with, met or saw Clark Gable in his every day life.

We would love to include any memories you have, and if they include photos too that is even better!

If you can help in any way, please contact me or leave a comment here and I'll get back to you as soon as I can. Thanks!

  1. I have given a lot of thought to my recollections of Clark Gable and his family as I knew them in the early 1960's. I was 10 or 11 yrs old and for me, it was about the horses and the ranch. We (his step son Bunker & I) seemed t0 have a lot more fun on those occasions when Gable was there. I had only been coming to the Encino ranch about a year or so when he died. I still came to visit on those weekends when we were out of school, but of course, it was different. Not bad, just different. It was a wonderful place. Years later, after it was sold and developed I would find mysewlf in that neighborhood for one reason or another and clearly recall what a great time that period was in my life. Just no clue at all about the interesting and unusual time that was. Born & raised in Beverly Hills & the Hancock Park section of L.A., attending Hollywood High, brought you in contact with a lot of entertainment industry people & their families. I grew up with the children of a lot of them in the '60s. It was a fun, bizarre, and even deadly time. I did more drugs than anybody. Little wonder so many of us died so young. I never gave my reckless behavior a second thought. I did Email you and expect we might trade notes on some of this stuff. Chris Jones
