Lyn Tornabene

I am currently reading Lyn Tornabene's biography of Clark Gable, and would love to talk to the author as part of my research.

Does anyone happen to know Lyn or have her contact details? If so, please feel free to pass on our blog address or email (Michelle@MichelleMorgan.co.uk) to Ms Tornabene so that she can contact me directly.

Thank you!

So, what is the footage you ask?!

I've had loads of emails congratulating us on the project and asking exactly what kind of footage we have for the documentary. Well here is a list of just some of the exclusive, HOME MOVIES that we have of Mr Gable and his family and that will be used in the documentary......

  • the Lombard hunting footage (that was used in the Making of GWTW DVD),
  • Gable in the Military,
  • Gable's honeymoon with Lady Sylvia Ashley,
  • Clark’s boating trips (one with Spencer Tracy),
  • Kay Williams and the Spreckels family, including children John Clark Gable and Joan as babies,
  • Burl Ives visits,
  • the Gone With The Wind premiere
  • the Gone With The Wind party,
  • Clark Gable and Doris Day at the 1957 Academy Awards...
  • and it goes on and on.

Watch this space for an exclusive clip, coming soon!

Magazine Articles

Does anyone have any Clark Gable magazine articles that they would like to share for our research? So far we have been able to use a great many newspaper articles to compile a timeline of events in Gable's life, but we are now looking for magazine articles such as interviews with Gable, his family, co-stars etc, and articles on specific periods of his life.

If you would like to share scans of your magazine articles, please post in the comment section and we will get back to you. You will, of course, be acknowledged in the book.

Thank you!
